While most guests at the wedding of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan were kept in the dark about the big event until the very last minute, there was a handful of people who did know in advance: Priscilla's bridesmaids!
"She told them the day before, because she gave them all their outfits to wear," a source tells Life & Style.
And the ladies were certainly taken care of!
"They had gorgeous dresses and Louboutin and YSL shoes," the source says. "They were all different, and they looked amazing. Priscilla is really stylish and styled each girl with something that was for their style and shape."
Even the designer of Priscilla Chan's dress, Claire Pettibone, hadn't known Priscilla chose her dress!
"She bought the dress at a small boutique in Denver, Colo. called Little White Dress bridal shop," an insider tells Life & Style. "She knew what she wanted and came in. She ordered it in October."
"WOW! This is my gown...I had no idea!!!" Claire tweeted about the dress on May 20.
The couple, who began dating in 2003, tied the knot at their home in Palo Alto, Calif., in front of fewer than 100 people on May 19.
"The house is a modest five-bedroom; it's nothing over the top or insane," the source tells Life & Style. "Nothing about [the wedding] was extravagant except that Billy Joe [Armstrong] from Green Day performed."
"Most guests stayed at the Four Seasons and were shuttled in," the source says.
The guests were under the impression that they were coming to celebrate Priscilla's graduation from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. Also, Mark Zuckerberg had just turned 28 on May 14.
It was a big week for Mark. Shares in Facebook went on sale to the public for the first time on May 18, earning him billions of dollars just one day before he said "I do."
